Abstract

Sanskrit is an ancient language belonging to Indo- Aryan branch of indo- European languages family in which the oldest book of the world “ Rigveda “ was composed. The Sanskrit language has been spoken since 5000 years before Christ .it is believed that all languages of the world have originated from Sanskrit somewhere. According to the research of linguistic experts, Aryan languages, if they are in every corner of the world, have remained connected to each other, because they all have the same base. We can conclude from this research that Sanskrit and Pashto are very closely related. Therefore Sanskrit has had significant influence on Pashto language. Rehman baba has used many words of Sanskrit in his poetry. The aim of this article is to highlight the lingual impacts of Sanskrit language on the poetic work of Rehman baba .
