Abstract

The tradition of Pashto literary organizations and literary councils has long alive among Pashtoon communities which by the passage of time further increased many folds. By all definition, if on one hand, these organizations and councils played significant role in the advance ement, promotion and evolution of Pashto language and literature, on the other hand the literary furor and commotions also flourished, inspired and retooled people thus raising their tastes to the level of consummate elegance. Presently, numerous literary organizations and counsels exist in every nook and corner of Pashtoon regions. In Swat, like other Pashtoon areas, also flourished with numerous literary organizations and literary counsels, providing a verity of resources that can be helpful to the writers and poets. This research paper assesses and evaluates the literary services of these organizations and counsels in swat. It also attempts to highlight how these organizations and councils have helped to cultivate the artistic and professional growth of the poets and writers. The study also takes into consideration and cursorily points out the hindrances that these literary organization and literary councils have faced time to time.
