Abstract

One among the prominent literary figures in the Pashto literature of 20th century is Murad Shinwari. He was the only son of Amir Hamza Khan Shinwari, a renowned poet but, neither he imitated his father nor anyone else in Pashto literature. His is a unique style in Pashto modern literature. His genius is multifaceted. He has contributed to Pashto criticism, poetry, fiction writing, film-song writing, drama writing, calligraphy, journalism, translation, writing and many more.
