Abstract

Samina Qadir originates from Sawat. She is a distinguished member of the Writers' Guild, the Anjuman Taraqi Pasand Musannifeen (Association of Progressive Writers), and the Abasin Arts Council in Peshawar. She has crafted poetry on a myriad of subjects, where the shades of progressivism, social realism, resistance poetry, and Romanticism are most pronounced. She is a perceptive, discerning figure, a woman of profound conviction. Beyond the boundaries of her own community, she has composed a wealth of verses championing the vital cause of peace. Her writings often spotlight the grievous plight of women and their rights. Her poetry calls for the awakening of political and social awareness among the masses. Romantic undertones also infuse her work, as she articulates her romantic thoughts in a diversity of meaning with dignified grace٫ earnestness٫ and as a responsible member of her society. Samina Qadir's poetry encompasses various aspects of human existence, yet it predominantly casts light on the authentic struggles of life. She possesses a keen and incisive understanding of the real challenges facing her nation and society, offering an honest depiction of the national and social landscape.
